Perhaps I shouldn’t have snuck a peek at FFXIII-2.
I’ve been playing XIII for around 60 hours now (about to start Chapter 12), I’m just grinding for gil and CP at this point because I’m obsessive that way. Bought XIII-2 so I could play it when I was done, checked out the first 10 minutes or so, and sorely wished I hadn’t!
Not even anything spoiling (as most of it, I’ve already read unintentionally) but the gameplay. I was happy to stop and turn off the PS3. Back to XIII I go. Maybe when I pop XIII-2 back in, I’ll have the patience to check it out. All I can say is I wasn’t fascinated in a good way.

Try to sneak up on him for a pre-emptive strike. Pause and hit retry if you fail. If you find yourself unable to do so, use a deceptisol and initiate the fight, this way he will be very nearly staggered so that you can damage him immediately. Start with Relentless Assault (COM/RAV/RAV) so that you stagger him, then switch to Ceberus (COM/COM/COM) until the stagger gauge runs out, then use Tri-Disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) to boost the gauge back up (Alternatively you could use Smart Bomb (SAB/RAV/RAV) with Fang as the SAB and some of those abilities will charge the gauge too). You won’t be dealing damage but you will charge the stagger. Switch back to Cerberus each time you stagger him and use Combat Clinic (SEN/MED/MED) or Salvation (MED/MED/MED) if healing becomes necessary.
My group (Snow/Fang/Sazh) was strong enough to defeat him before he bothered using Murderous Might but he was still a pain in the neck regardless. I used a Synergist (namely Sazh because he has Haste) to boost my stats through some of the non-staggered parts of the battle.
Failing all else, fall back on an Eidolon. I’ve seen recommendations for Alexander but I’ve never actually used him thus far (I don’t really use Hope.).

Guy comes in, orders about $8 worth of food and whips out a stash of ten dollar bills. When he goes to hand me one, he rips it. Instead of just giving me another, he decides to try to pass me the completely split bill. It’s policy to reject such bills. I’ve taken one on one such occasion when I had the tape on hand to fix it and the managers were okay with that, but our GM used the last of the tape to hang something up earlier in the day. So I explain to this guy that I can’t accept his bill, and he gets mad at me over it, wondering why not.
I go on to say it’s policy and he has to provide another means of payment. He then became somewhat belligerent and I involved the shift manager. He also told the guy we can’t accept the bill, so the customer hands me another bill that’s actually in one piece and I apologised for the inconvenience which clearly turned out to be a bad idea, as it set off another rant by him. He gets his food, and then comes back up to complain that his fries aren’t any good. He walked away with them ten minutes prior. The hold time is 7 under the heat lamps, of course they aren’t going to taste good after sitting out at room temp for 10! Anyway, I replaced his fries and then he came back five minutes later to accuse me of shorting him a sandwich. Which if I had, it would’ve been sitting in the landing zone unless someone else took it - which I highly doubted.
So I gave him a whole new sandwich and told him to have a nice day. Of course, he cursed as he walked off under his breath at me. I really hate people. I do. I don’t understand how they can get so uptight about the smallest things.
